Seiðr, pronounced “say-th” or “say-thr”, is a Nordic folk magic practice based in trance meditation and relational animism. (It is often described as “shamanism”, but I have hang-ups around that term, which is often used to equate and appropriate various cultural practices that have little in common.) I’ve been studying seiðr since 2020 and it is a large part of my spiritual practice.

I am very aware of the ways religious spaces can uphold interpersonal harm, and dedicate my time to opposing it.
