Hi! I'm Jai! I use he/him/his, xe/xem/xir, and ze/hir/hirs pronouns interchangeably.

I’m a multi-media artist working at the intersection of art, spirituality, and advocacy. The bulk of my publicly available work is music, with excursions into poetry, theatre, visual/sculptural art, and herbalism with a focus on fragrance formulation.

Formerly a soprano studying opera, I'm now a tenor. My journey navigating voice changes on HRT led me to my voice coaching practice.

I began reading tarot cards when I was twelve, after pestering my father to buy me a pocket deck from the clearance aisle in a bookstore. This sparked a love for divination that later led me into runes, meditation, and eventually ecstatic and oracular practices. Similarly, I began performing music from a young age; I sang in a children’s choir for most of elementary and middle school, fell into musical theatre at school and community spaces, and studied voice in college.

I am pagan and animist, coming from a cultural background of Buddhism and Hinduism; my lived experience is in Heathenry, and I have a deep love of its lore and artistic community.

I am desi, queer, trans, and multiply disabled. These identities inform my work. Building inclusive spaces is deeply important to me, and I strive to create a practice that includes and celebrates all people.

I live on Lenape land in New York with my two cats, where I strive to be both a menace and a mystic.
